Parallels Desktop for Mac
I would like to share this application, Parallels Desktop, in here. Basically it is a virtualization software or an OS(Operating System) emulator for mac osx. It is only worked for Intel mac machine, older mac machine won’t work due to PPC processor. Parallels Desktop for Mac is a software product by Parallels, Inc., a developer of desktop and server virtualization software. Released on 2006-06-15, it was the first software suite to bring hardware virtualization for mac machine. It can support other OSs(Linux/FreeBSD/ETC) rather than just windows XP/Vista.
This software or application helps me alot and i do not have to reboot my system to windows xp via BootCamp, just to use some of the application (programming compiler) in windows xp. With Parallels, i can directly open Quincy(C/C++ compiler application) in mac osx.
Just recently, it is just updated to Version3 which support DirectX8.1 and OpenGL. In order words, now you can play low-end 3D games like Starcraft inside the virtualization box. It is impressive.

This is the coolest feature, it is called “Coherence” which combine windows xp(Guess OS) and mac osx (main OS) into one view. You can use both applications side by side, without the virtualization box.
The downside of this application is required to have huge amount of ram and powerful processor which is more likely be a server based machine in order to be able to run couple of heavy applications in the Guess OS. Overall, i give it 8/10 because this application is still considered quite buggy. The price for this product is USD79.90, http://www.parallels.com/en/products/desktop/
