My Macbook (Mabby)

Yesterday afternoon, I just went to ITFusion which behind HSBC building and bought an iPhone.

iPhone

iPhone? Yeap… Only in my dream. Actually this iPhone is belong to Frost, one of the staff from ITFusion. I just have a look on the iPhone, it feels darn good. The touch technology really amazing and pretty sensitive. It’s pretty “cool” gadget to own one

Back to my topic, I bought white macbook, with 120GB hdd space and 1Gb ram. It is the latest revision, with Santa Rosa Platform and Intel X3100 graphic chip. Too bad, there ain’t any good promotion or freebies when I buy. The only freebies are free upgrade to 1.5GB ram and waist protector for macbook (mabby  ) In addition, I bought a protector cover (orange) worth Rm150. Yea.. I know, it pretty pricey. Do I have a choice?

At ITFusion, I spent nearly 1hour plus, checking and testing every thing. It is pre-loaded with Mac OSX Leopard and iLife ‘08. The Leopard is pretty darn buggy, bluetooth application crashed twice  and in this Leopard is 9A3110 Build, which is different build compare to the retail Leopard.

It is quite surprise that the pre-loaded Leopard didn’t install BootCamp. So I have to install myself via the installation disc. BootCamp is pretty much the same thing as partition magic or others 3rd party partition softwares. It is just let you partition for windows partition (Fat32) then it will reboot the system after you inserting windows XP disc or Vista. The installation is just plain simple. After the 30minutes installation, then it finally boot into windows. Yes.. macbook (mabby) in windows XP. How about the drivers? Well you just need to insert your mac installation disc and it will auto-run and install everything for you. As easy as ABC. The iSight Camera works in windows XP as well.
Overall, macbook or mabby serves me well. Probably only only small issue which is the GPU. I have not test Adobe Products yet. More updates to come
