Shalom Book Corner

This is the second bookstore which sells ’second-hand‘ books in Kuching. This bookstore, Shalom Book Corner, just opens not long ago. It is located at Tabuan Jaya (newer building area). Don’t worry if you couldn’t find it, *I highly doubt that*. Why? This is because “Shalom Book Corner” is ultra-big, hanging at there. Seems like abit kiasu

It is quite a surprise for me. The compound is quite small. A little bit lack down. It has various types of books, from Novels to Academy/Reference books. The pricing is quite affordable. Cheapest price tag I’ve spotted is RM5 and RM70+(Academy books) is the most expensive. Academy books mostly are quite recent, but there still have some old ancient. I’m pretty piss off because I have just bought Java Programming book. I spotted few Java Programming books, quite recent, and cost RM60 only.

As I was saying, Shalom Book Corner is the second bookstore to sell ‘second-hand‘ books. Then, which is the first bookstore? It is BookCastle, which located at Jalan Keretapi road there. BookCastle contains more books compare to Shalom Book Corner. One more interesting news, the bookstore is owned by one of the students’ father from my old Secondary School, SMK Bandar Kuching No1. Newspapers had reviewed BookCastle during the last year.

The above picture is not taken by me. I’ve grabbed from this guy’s blog, catcityblog. Btw, the blog seems to be long dead, no recent updates.
