Starting on today (30 September) 6pm onwards, Switch (Cg Computers) gives away ‘Apple Pie‘ for any mac users who own macbook or iMac keyboard. Apple Pie is a silicon-based keyboard protector skin and worths RM59. It is only limited to 50 ‘Apple Pie‘ per outlet The promotion ends at 5th October.

Wait a minute, did i say RM59? Gosh, I seriously don’t believe it worths so shitty price, 60BUCK!!! And I think I was the first guy who get it in my local Switch, @ tHe Spring, Kuching.

A new 2nd phrase Microsoft ad campaign just released awhile ago. This time, Microsoft uses Apple’s stereotype of ‘get-a-mac‘ ad. Previously it was Gates/Seinfeld ad and it was kinda a big EPIC failure. I’m not really a big fan of ‘get-a-mac‘ ad because Apple really indirectly bashing Microsoft’s Windows and lately the Apple ad getting directly bashing Vista instead. Microsoft never return the favor until now.

The Microsoft version of ‘I’m a PC‘ really is a great marketing ad and it really shows that PC’s are not just used by people in offices in suits (like PC guy in ‘get-a-mac’ ad), but by people of all walks of life.  

What a surprise that Google actually sent me a mail from USA. Is it a cheque? OMG OMG OMG!!

Guess what? OMG OMG OMG!!!

Nothing more and nothing less, it’s just my Google Adsense PIN. Hehe… Anyway, I’m hoping readers can support me by clicking the bottom Google Adsense and other ads. 

There have two types of section, one is indoor and another is outdoor. The indoor environment is rather romantic in a sense that the lighting is pretty cozy and ‘reddish‘ candle light atmosphere. In addition, it also creates the Italian style/atmosphere with some unique furniture, such as the lamp post.

The farewell dinner is at the outdoor section. The outdoor environment is considered good as well. Again, it is in Italian atmosphere. Each of the tables will have a real rose to spice up this planet of ‘love‘.

That dinner we didn’t order drinks but we drank ’skyjuice’ with lemon. Haha. After experiencing the classy atmosphere, I had a pretty bad feeling about the ‘price’. Yeah, it is indeed no cheap food.

Majority of the dishes are Italian food. We had ordered a couple of dishes, such as lamb chop, fillet, beef steak, Italian pasta and etc. Each of the dishes served in a huge and heavy plate. They all tasted pretty delicious and worth for the price.

I had a great dinner at there. Thanks to my old classmate, Ee How, who will be going to UK (University of Nottingham) in this coming Monday (15th September).

This seems extremely risky if ones goes wrong direction. It might create a mini-blackhole instead during the collisions. But some scientists say that it can be ‘easiler’ decayed.

It is rather a short event, but it is quite interesting. There are ton of different type of cats, such as exotic type and also wildcats, such as Persian. They are all kept inside a small little cage, what a pity. Ton of people taking pictures of the cute exotic cats. Not only that, you are allowed to carry those cats with a price (of course).

The activity not just for ‘showing off‘ those cats to the public but to bring public awareness that caring for the animals, not only for cats alone. There are some group of people giving some speech regarding how to care cats and etc. Sadly I only manage to take one shot of the wildcat. The wildcats are usually huge, can be said similar size like baby tiger (cub). This wildcat is called, Maine Coon, not Moon Maine. [Thanks to the commentor, HORATIO for the correcting the name]

Speaking about moon, moon cake festival or formally, ‘Mid-Autumn Festival‘ is just around the corner. There are few stall sell moon cake @ tHe Spring, on the center of it. By the way, they selling durian favor as well, the smell is darn strong.

Google Chrome is open source browser and just like Mozilla Firefox. It is a WebKit, open source application framework, and just like Apple Safari browser.

First impression:

• It is pretty cool to have another browser on the INTERNET.
• It is definitely a pretty lightweight browser and with simplicity layout.
• It is easy and simple to search by typing in the URL bar.
• It is pretty fast to load the web pages.

• It has no add-on or plugins supports
• Some websites have problem rendering
• No ‘Home’ button for the keyboard shortcut

Google Chrome is indeed a rip-off browser for all main browsers out there, IE7/IE8, Firefox, Opera and Safari. All the good ‘ideas’ have been taken it out and put into Google Chrome. It is kinda like ‘rojak‘ browser. From the simplicity layout, it is actually based on IE7 abit. Chrome can allow user to drag out the tab to be independent windows or other way around, this is based on Apple Safari ‘idea’. Chrome has a feature to be able to track down your most view sites and can be reload at once in a single tab, that is based on Opera ‘idea’ which is speed-dials. There are a lot of similarities. 

What’s unique about Chrome? Each tab has its own process. So whenever ones tab crashes, Google Chrome will not crash its own. There’s no other browser works in such a way. But it is a bit annoyed, see the above image. It creates chrome-babies along the way under your windows task manager.

Lastly, it is still a very early stage to judge this Chrome. The official link won’t give you the full version of installer. That’s mean you have to online to download and install at the same time. Below is the offline installer that I have found.

She didn’t tell her mother about them. This is a musical stage movie, based on the catchy songs from ’70s group stars (ABBA), with additional music also composed by ABBA member, Benny Anderson.

Review:
What is ‘Mamma mia‘? It is something like a slang of ‘Oh my god’, ‘Holy cow’. I have just watch it recently. It is a great and wonderful movie, I must say. With the wonderful actresses and actors plus the classical, catchy songs (Honey honey honey) which composed by ABBA. This movie is adapted from stage musical with a book by British playwright (Catherine Johnson). I have no watch the stage musical version before, so I can’t judge much. The story-line is pretty well developed and with the right song in the right scene. In addition, it is also mixed with humors (based on Greek comedy style) during the singing scenes. There’s a twist in the ending, and no reveal who is her real father, unless do a DNA test (spoiler a bit). Nonetheless, the movie is targeted more on older generation of person (at least 30 years old) or the person who enjoys classical English songs. Benny Anderson (ABBA member) had been on cameo appearance. 

Pro:

• Laughable scenes along the way
• Catchy, wonderful, enjoyment songs
• Nice romance story line 
• Parents might enjoy as well 

Con:

• Non English music lovers or youngsters might not enjoy
• Some of the actors have a pretty ugly voice. Sad to say that. 

This movie is really recommended, especially for ABBA fans. I give 4.5 out of 5 in this ‘Mamma Mia!‘.

This is a small happening event in tHe Spring. There is also a section which sells ton of soft toys. Be sure to bring your girlfriends around. And as for the guys, remember to bring more bucks. 

Some imported toys are selling as well, such as Mattel and Bandai products, big toy companies. Toy lovers must not miss it. 

There is a section that displaying some limited edition of figures such as Star Wars, and Storm Trooper .

Lastly, don’t forget about the popular Bandai Gundam(s) exhibition. It is located at the main entrance of tHe Spring. 

This Gundam figure is the most attractive (my opinion). Z.A.F.T GUNDAM (adapted from Gundam Seed anime).

This is using flash technology. It has a various of style to customize your own manga avatar. It is free of charge but in a low quality resolution. For high resolution, you have to pay the fee. After you have finish done your customization, you will have to give your email in order to receive your own manga avatar.

Once inside, he’s transformed into a Minimoys and joins forces with the lovely princess Selenia to defeat the evil M, who-must-not-be-named. 

Review:
This movie is quite an old movie, end of 2006 in France. As you can see, this movie is not from popular production, such as Disney or Dreamwork. It is based on a french children novel, ‘Arthur et les Minimoys’ by Luc Besson in 2002. Luc Besson is also the director of this movie. It is part of 3D animated when Arthur steps into the world of Minimoys and part of live action movie. Based on wiki, this movie is the most expensive in French production.

I have just watch it recently. Malaysia Cinema is not showing this. So, you have to watch on DVD version. I’m quite disappointed and surprising  that the DVD edition is a censored version in the USA. The kissing scenes of Arthur and Princess Selenia have been trimmed. Why? And I don’t see those Disney production movies censored those scenes in their DVD edition. This movie is a fantasy, laughable and beautiful children movie, with the combination of 3D CGI and real action. It is very recommended to watch with your family. I find this is much better compare to ‘The Journey to the center of the Earth‘ (2008).

Pro:

• Few laughable scenes
• Beautiful and stunning 3D animation characters and environment
• Fantasy, magical story-line.
• Well acting in the real action scenes 

Con:

• Illogical scenes such as Arthur (in Minimoys world) becomes extremely good swordsman, whereas he is just a normal kid in real life.
• A bit strange when the voice of Princess Selenia is Madonna and trying to seduce Arthur (10 year old kid). 

I went at there quite early due to less traffic. Late night will be pretty crowded as usual. Even at this early, there are still quite a number of people. I just went to ‘tapao’ or take away food. 

As you can see a lot of empty tables and chairs. But wait until you see at the other side.

Guess this side must be good ‘fengshui‘. Haha. Other than food section, there also has a garden show. This place is for sightseeing. Good for couples. Hehe.

Basically you will see this ‘thing’ as pretty scenery. Look below

Yea.. mini-fountain

Big fountains.. or waterfall this time.

Well you should be able get the idea. There is also a mini-stage at there for some night performers. Usually it will have some hip hop dancing at night. 

Lastly there has one section that selling some stuff, such as cars booth, household products and etc.

One more thing. I have encountered some odd incidents at the food section.

Eragon? Eragon the movie. gosh~ 

Dragon ball? Dragon ball the movie? Fyi, the movie will be out soon. 

Btw, today is a great day because of 080808 and also Olympic newly starts. Enjoy good life 

We just went to the upper floor to have a drink. The environment was really trendy and a good place for chit-chatting. If I’m not mistaken, there had a total of 3 LCD TVs installed. 

We didn’t try out the food. The drinks at there were quite nice but a bit slow for waiting time. How about the price? Not so cheap by comparing to normal kopitiam. Haha. The price was similar like Starbucks. 

We sat at the nice area which could saw the outside environment, tHe Spring shopping mall (based on the above picture). We all enjoyed our drinks. I ordered tiramisu ice-blended, it was just simply nice and the creamy on top of it. It is well-blended, not like at Starbucks. At Starbucks (Kuching), you ate the ice instead of drinking. It costed RM11.50
